1. Overview
This document outlines the terms and conditions for applying to pitch at "The Most Innovative Session" during the ICT&Health World Conference 2027. This session aims to showcase innovative ideas that improve health. There is no prize money, material reward, or compensation associated with participation or selection.
2. Eligibility
Anyone with a bold idea that improves health is eligible to apply.
3. Application Process
Applicants must complete the official application form provided. All information submitted must be accurate and truthful. Submissions close on January 13, 2027. The 5 selected winners will be announced January 18, 2027.
4. Ownership and Intellectual Property
All applicants retain full ownership and intellectual property rights of their submitted projects, ideas, and related materials (e.g., presentation videos). By submitting an application, no transfer, assignment, or license of intellectual property rights to ICT&Health, the conference organizers, or any associated parties occurs. You remain the sole and exclusive owner of your intellectual property.
5. Judging and Selection
A jury panel, including Bart Timmers, Michiel Tebbes, Gabrielle Speijer, and chaired by Bart Collet, will review and score all submissions based on criteria including Ethical Responsibility, Measurable Added Value for Health/Care, Degree of Innovation & Scalability, Interdisciplinary Collaboration, and Presentation Power. Five participants will be selected based on these scores and will be offered a platform to pitch their innovations during "The Most Innovative Session" at the ICT&Health World Conference 2027. The jury's decision is final and binding.
6. Use of Submitted Information
By applying, participants grant the ICT&Health World Conference permission to use the project name and short description for promotional purposes related to "The Most Innovative Session" and the conference, should their application be selected. This includes listing them as selected participants and promoting their pitch session.
7. Liability
The organizers, ICT&Health World Conference, and all associated partners and personnel assume no liability for any claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising from participation in this application process, selection for "The Most Innovative Session," or any related activities. This includes, but is not limited to, any loss of data, income, or opportunity.
8. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an application for "The Most Innovative Session," applicants fully acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions.
9. Submission Content Guidelines and Disqualification
Submissions containing false information, plagiarism, or those that otherwise violate these terms and conditions, or any applicable laws, may be disqualified at the sole discretion of the organizers. Furthermore, the Jury reserves the right to refuse or disqualify any submission deemed unethical or primarily serving a commercial interest (e.g., existing products or services solely seeking publicity). The focus of this session is on innovative ideas improving health, not commercial promotion. The organizers reserve the right to remove any submission or disqualify any applicant at any time if they deem such action necessary.
10. Amendments to the Contest/Session
The organizers reserve the right to modify, suspend, or cancel "The Most Innovative Session" or these terms and conditions at any time, for any reason, without prior notice. Any such changes will be communicated to applicants via the email address provided in their application.
11. Data Protection and Privacy
All personal information collected from applicants will be used solely for the purpose of administering "The Most Innovative Session" and the ICT&Health World Conference 2027. By applying, you agree to the collection, use, and processing of your personal data for the sole purpose of organising this session.
12. Governing Law
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of The Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Limburg (Maastricht location).
